The Lawrence Tigers can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Fennville and snuck past 52-50. Lawrence's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Ben McCaw was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with two steals. Christian Smith was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Lawrence's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Fennville, their loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-10.
Lawrence will take on Battle Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Battle Creek Academy is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Fennville, they will head out on the road to square off against Watervliet at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Watervliet presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Fennville in Michigan (Watervliet is ranked 133rd, while Fennville is ranked 678th).
