Southern Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They walked away with a 64-56 win over Grace Christian. The win was just what Southern Christian needed coming off of a 72-14 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, East Central HomeSchool fought the good fight in their overtime match against Ezekiel Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Knights by a score of 87-85. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game on Monday (60), East Central HomeSchool still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, East Central HomeSchool got a solid performance out of Greyson Boyd, who scored 33 points along with two steals. That was a full 38.8% of East Central HomeSchool's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Knetter, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Southern Christian's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5. As for East Central HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
