After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cedar Creek, the Hanna Golden Eagles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Donna North with a sharp 40-17 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hanna also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2022.
Hanna can attribute much of their success to Sofia Roman, who scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Roman has scored at least 25% of Hanna's points. Valeria Perez was another key contributor, scoring 4 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
Hanna's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Donna North, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Hanna will be playing in front of their home fans against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Donna North is on the road again on Thursday and play against Pioneer at 4:30 p.m. on November 30th. Pioneer presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Donna North in Texas (Pioneer is ranked 635th, while Donna North is ranked 1369th).
