It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Sabinal Yellowjackets can now relate to. They were dealt a 55-13 loss at the hands of the Tigers on Friday.
Despite the loss, Sabinal still got an impressive performance from Israel Gonzales, who rushed for 117 yards, and also caught a touchdown.
Koben Zan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bremond, rushing for 218 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 127 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Tristan Morehead, who picked up 108 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Sabinal now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Bremond, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Sabinal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bremond will be playing at home against Falls City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Falls City is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
