The Oak Grove Grizzlies will be playing in front of their home fans against the Pisgah Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Oak Grove comes in on nine and Pisgah on three.
Oak Grove had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They breezed by Ashbrook at home to the tune of 34-0. Oak Grove might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine games by 24 points or more this season.
Oak Grove's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Connor Creech, who rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown, and Karson Williams, who gained 129 total yards and three touchdowns. Landon Craddock got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Pisgah strolled past North Henderson with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 35-17.
Oak Grove has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 10-1 record. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Asheboro and 3-8 North Davidson (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 28.4% over those games). As for Pisgah, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
