After flying high against Edgemont last Saturday, Tuckahoe came back down to earth. The Tigers were beaten by the Bronxville Broncos 48-21 on Saturday. Tuckahoe's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Declan Connolly, who rushed for 103 yards and three scores, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. Connolly also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack and making three total tackles. Connor Brice helped out on the ground, rushing for 82 yards.
Brian Formato was his usual excellent self, rushing for 231 yards and three TDs while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also picking up 70 receiving yards and one touchdown for Bronxville. Formato showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 65 yards. Another player making a difference was Theo McMurray, who threw for 229 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 passes.
Having lost for the first time this season, Tuckahoe fell to 6-1. As for Bronxville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
