In this week's postseason power rankings action, one team rose to the occasion while another fell hard. Among the action were the efforts of Pulaski Academy's junior Braden Bratcher, an offensive menace who scored six total TDs.
Welcome
It was another game, another high-octane performance for Shiloh Christian last week (their 9th in a row). Everything went its way against Mena as it secured a 59 - 7 win. Shiloh Christian found its leader in an underclassman: Jaiden Henry passed for two touchdowns and snagged one receiving TD himself, which was enough to make him one of the team's best players. The win also thrust Shiloh Christian into the power rankings, where the team now holds the 23rd spot.
No Stoppin 'Em
Though not as conclusive as the rankings might have led one to believe, North Little Rock's matchup last week went as planned. It had just enough, edging out Southside 48 - 45. North Little Rock and Southside were a much more even match than North Little Rock's previous opponent, giving the fans a heck of a game. At 93 total points, this was the highest scoring power ranking game of the week.
Movin on Up
Nashville may have been too polite by giving the ball away three times last week, but it kept the W for itself. It took its game against Bauxite by a confident 41 - 18 score. No one had a larger role in the success than junior Carmillias Morrison, who brought his A game into the contest. He ran for 125 yards and also punched in two touchdowns. The team's efforts were enough to boost its power ranking by ten, which was the most sizeable gain made by any team in the rankings.
Next Week's Big Game
The big showdown in the power rankings this week is between Northside (7th in the power rankings) and Bryant (2nd). The teams have their eyes fixed on the championship after last-week playoff conquests. Bryant and Northside can't both win again this week, so we'll learn on Friday which team falters and which extends its success.
