Capital has gone a perfect 10-0 against Butte recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Bruins will welcome the Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. Capital has given up an average of 11.2 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Ashlinn Mullaney spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and three unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Allie Becker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Madisyn Swanson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Butte's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-5. As for Capital, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Butte's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Capital has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for Butte, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given Capital's sizable advantage in that area, the Bulldogs will need to find a way to close that gap.
Capital took their victory against Butte in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Bruins repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
