In other batting news, Pine Prairie got a massive performance out of Sydney Fontenot, who scored a run while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Fontenot a new career-high in doubles (two). Josie Vidrine was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and one triple.

Pine Prairie is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Ville Platte, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Ville Platte hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.6 home runs per game. However, it's not like Pine Prairie struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
