Columbus were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Baker/Plevna 41-6. Baker/Plevna can consider this payback for the 18-25 loss they dealt Columbus the last time the teams encountered one another.
Columbus's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 28 points in the first half. Baker/Plevna came up with 6 to make it 28-6 heading into the break. The other side of the ball continued to do well for Columbus in the second half and held Baker/Plevna to 0 points. The win bumped Columbus's record up to 2-0. The loss dropped Baker/Plevna back to even at 0-1.
Columbus will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Broadwater at 7:00 PM. Baker/Plevna are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Roundup/Melstone next week .
