Pilot Point is 1-9 against Whitesboro since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pilot Point Bearcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Whitesboro Bearcats at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
On Friday, Pilot Point didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Archer City, but they still walked away with a 54-49 victory.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Whitesboro ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They slipped by Bowie 41-40. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Whitesboro has scored all season.
Pilot Point's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-6. As for Whitesboro, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-6.
Pilot Point came up short against Whitesboro in their previous meeting back in January, falling 61-49. Can Pilot Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
