Basketball Recap: Parker Robinson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Faith Christian over Jacksonville Christian Academy

Faith Christian was the 71-58 winner over Jacksonville Christian Academy when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Faith Christian Lions took a 64-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jacksonville Christian Academy Thunder on Friday. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Parker Robinson, who posted 22 points. Robinson's evening made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Ethan Taft was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Faith Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Faith Christian Lions challenge the Cleburne County Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Faith Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.7 points per game this season. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-46 victory against Woodland on the 23rd.
