Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Littleton). They blew past the Pomona Panthers 65-17 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Littleton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Vicky Whitney led the charge by putting up nine points along with eight boards and three steals. The dominant performance gave Whitney a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Emma Bird, who went 6 for 15 to rack up 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

Littleton's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Pomona, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Littleton and Pomona could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. Littleton will take on Standley Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 145 places (209 vs. 64). Meanwhile, Pomona (ranked 290th) will meet Evergreen (ranked 139th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
