ED White is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 62-12 victory over Englewood. Given the Commanders' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 241st, while the Rams are ranked 620th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

ED White can attribute much of their success to Kyra Jackson, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 13 points along with five assists and five steals, and Leandrea Mccloud, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds. Jackson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zariona Thomas, who posted nine points.
ED White smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Ponte Vedra entered their tilt with ED White on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Commanders by a score of 47-39. That's two games straight that the Sharks have won by exactly eight points.
Ponte Vedra found their leader in freshman Jocelyn Hoffmann, who went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hoffmann has scored all season. Arden Doherty was another key player, putting up six points.
ED White is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.8 points per game. As for Ponte Vedra, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: ED White has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 37.1 boards per game. However, it's not like Ponte Vedra struggles in that department as they've been averaging 26.6 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
