The Franklin Sabers posted their closest win yet this season on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Kenosha Bradford and snuck past 39-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Franklin.
Lauren Capstran was her usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and five steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Rachael Jepsen was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Franklin's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Kenosha Bradford, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Franklin will stay at home for another game and welcome Brookfield East at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Brookfield East will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. Kenosha Bradford will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Badger at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. Badger knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Kenosha Bradford likes a good challenge.
