Hesston has gone 8-2 against Halstead recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Swathers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dragons at 2:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Hesston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Minneapolis an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Swathers have won 11 matchups by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Andrew Huxman was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Huxman was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hesston got a big performance out of Blayne Wilson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Wilson has become a key player for the Swathers: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-7 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Levi Flaming, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Hesston lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Halstead never got on the board in their matchup two weeks ago, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Sylvan-Lucas on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Mustangs. Considering the Dragons' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Brock Odendahl made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Odendahl was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Zach Gavlak, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Ben Schulte, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.
Halstead's victory bumped their record up to 6-17. As for Hesston, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.
Halstead's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hesston has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .469. It's a different story for Halstead, though, as they've only averaged .336. Will they be able to contain Hesston's hitters?
Hesston skirted past Halstead 7-6 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Swathers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
