Potlatch is a perfect 9-0 against Nezperce since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Loggers will host the Nighthawks at 4:30 p.m. Potlatch is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Potlatch lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Clearwater Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's match. The Loggers were the clear victors by a 10-4 margin over the Rams on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Loggers, who have now won three games in a row.

Waylan Marshall was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jay Marshall, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.
Potlatch always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Clearwater Valley only posted an OBP of .281.
Meanwhile, Nezperce lost 23-9 to Clearwater Valley on Thursday. The Nighthawks haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Will Mahorney was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Jadin Williams was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Potlatch pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Nezperce, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
Nezperce's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Potlatch hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .357. It's a different story for Nezperce, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain Potlatch's hitters?
Potlatch took their victory against Nezperce in their previous meeting back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 15-0 score. Will the Loggers repeat their success, or do the Nighthawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
