The Covenant Classical Warriors came into Monday's game having lost 13 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They strolled past Sheets Memorial Christian with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 68-51. Covenant Classical's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Sheets Memorial Christian saw an underclassman step up: Finn Everhart scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Everhart hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games.
Covenant Classical's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3. As for Sheets Memorial Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-16.
Covenant Classical does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sheets Memorial Christian, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Non Varsity Opponent at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Hopefully Sheets Memorial Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 42 on Monday.
