If Covington-Douglas was riding high fresh off their 58-31 takedown of Canton back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Covington-Douglas Wildcats were dealt an 82-33 defeat at the hands of the Waukomis Chiefs on Monday. The Wildcats' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Covington-Douglas now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Waukomis, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
