The Green Hope Falcons entered their tilt with the Broughton Capitals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Green Hope took down Broughton 56-41 on Tuesday. For Green Hope, this counts as revenge for the 48-30 loss Broughton walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Green Hope can attribute much of their success to Abigail Brown, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 22 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Brown has scored at least 25% of Green Hope's points. Swar Dave was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Broughton's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jane Kern, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Kendall Walpole, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Green Hope's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Broughton, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wake Forest the next time they take the court. Green Hope will head out to face Wake Forest at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Broughton will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
