Chapman and Broome are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Chapman Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the Broome Centurions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Chapman pushed their score all the way to 56 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 68-56 to Blue Ridge. Chapman has not had much luck with Blue Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
Rashawn Cunningham put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 24 points. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Khamari Turner, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four blocks.
Meanwhile, Broome came up short against Blue Ridge on Wednesday and fell 60-48. Broome has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Chapman now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Broome, they now have a losing record at 9-10.
Chapman couldn't quite finish off Broome when the teams last played on January 2nd and fell 47-44. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Broome's Ja'Coreyun Broadus, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Now that Chapman knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
