Edmonds-Woodway is 8-2 against Shorewood since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Warriors will host the Stormrays at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Shorewood will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Edmonds-Woodway extended their winning streak to five on Monday. The Warriors never let Lynnwood get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory.

William Alseth tossed a big game, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Edmonds-Woodway let Luke Boland and Andreas Simonsen run wild. Boland got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Simonsen went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI Simonsen has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Toshi Gilginas, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Shorewood made easy work of Monroe on Monday and carried off a 9-3 win.
Kanata Barber was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Jameson Connolly was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Shorewood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in four consecutive matchups.
Shorewood has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. As for Edmonds-Woodway, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Edmonds-Woodway has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Shorewood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.6 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Edmonds-Woodway's way against Shorewood in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, as Edmonds-Woodway made off with a 9-3 victory. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Stormrays turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
