The Southeast Bulloch Yellow Jackets were the 62-59 winner over the Portal Panthers when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Southeast Bulloch fell 72-63 to Portal on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Portal's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph Thomas, who scored 19 points along with 5 rebounds. David Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Southeast Bulloch now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Portal, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast Bulloch will take on South Effingham at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Portal, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Effingham County at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd.
