Watonga (Okla.) kept up a steady attack all game long to upset
Minco (Okla.), 35-13, on Saturday.
The Eagles were up 21-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run in the first quarter.
Watonga expanded its lead to 22 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a rushing touchdown.
The final score was a stunner, as the Eagles was ranked No. 204 in the MaxPreps Freeman Rankings for Oklahoma, far below the Bulldogs' spot at No. 128.
Chase Lorenz stood out for Watonga in the win. The freshman threw one touchdown.
Watonga (3-2) will play a A District 3 game against Pioneer-Pleasant Vale next week, while Minco (2-3) will take on Crescent also in a A District 3 game.
