Kolbe-Cathedral's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amaris Timmons led the charge by scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds. Those nine rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Rachel Cherrington, who scored 14 points along with five assists.
Kolbe-Cathedral pushed their record up to 5-3 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.2 points per game. As for Joel Barlow, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Kolbe-Cathedral will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilton at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wilton is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. As for Joel Barlow, they will head out on the road to face off against New Milford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (New Milford is ranked 47th, while Joel Barlow is ranked 64th).
