After a string of three wins, the Stebbins Indians's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 41-23 to Tippecanoe. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Stebbins has scored all season.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aubrey Fritz, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and six steals. Fritz has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Alianna Davis was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Stebbins' loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Tippecanoe, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.
Stebbins will be playing in front of their home fans against Greenville at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Greenville is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak. As for Tippecanoe, they will head out on the road to square off against West Carrollton at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Hopefully West Carrollton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Wednesday.
