The Reeltown Rebels were the 33-25 winner over the Holtville Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Reeltown took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Holtville on Tuesday.
Reeltown's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of London O'Neal, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Leeandra Hooks who scored nine points.
Reeltown's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Holtville, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Reeltown will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Horseshoe Bend at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Holtville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Notasulga at 1:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
