Castlewood's batters probably weren't too happy with  Eli Hilling, who pitched a no hitter  and racked up 16 Ks (he gave up zero walks). That's the most  strikeouts  Hilling has posted since back in March of 2024.
 On the hitting side,  Braden Huggins was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  him a new career-high in  RBI (two). Another player making a difference was  Eli Naylor, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
PikeView pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  victory, which was their third straight  on the road. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Castlewood, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. PikeView will square off against Bluefield at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Castlewood, they will challenge Chilhowie at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
