The result came thanks to  Jalayah Slaughter's shutout, as she gave up just a  hit and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

 Meanwhile, St. Michael posted their closest  win since March 7th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  squad sidled past St. John  10-8. Ten seems to be a good number for the Warriors as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
 Parkview Baptist's victory was  their seventh straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 17-11. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for St. Michael, their victory bumped their record up to 18-8.
 Parkview Baptist skirted past St. Michael  13-11 when the teams last played  back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
