The Aynor Blue Jackets lost against the Hannah-Pamplico Raiders back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Aynor fell to Hannah-Pamplico 31-26. Aynor has not had much luck with Hannah-Pamplico recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Aynor's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Robinson Mendez, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals. Mendez scored a full 30.8% of Aynor's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Tanyika, who scored 6 points along with 11 rebounds.
Hannah-Pamplico got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mason Hanna out in front who scored 9 points along with 13 rebounds. Shamar Eaddy was another key contributor, scoring 6 points along with 3 steals.
Aynor's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Hannah-Pamplico, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aynor is on the road again on Thursday and play against Latta at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. As for Hannah-Pamplico, they will square off against Lake City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
