The Brawley Wildcats will head out to take on the Grossmont Foothillers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Brawley is headed out in good spirits considering the team just ended their winless streak on the road against Mar Vista on Tuesday. Brawley put the hurt on Mar Vista with a sharp 7-1 win. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Mariners: they've now won three in a row.

Daniella Yescas spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on nine hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four).
On the hitting side, Isabella Yescas and Roslyn Rubio did most of the damage at the plate: Isabella went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double, while Rubio scored a run while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs Yescas has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Demi Cornejo, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Brawley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Grossmont hadn't done well against Eastlake recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Grossmont came out on top against Eastlake by a score of 9-4. The Foothillers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Grossmont also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Nakhia Lee gave up four runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits.
At the plate, Jenna Ennis was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3.
Brawley picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-7. As for Grossmont, the victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 4-7-1.
Brawley suffered a grim 7-1 defeat to Grossmont when the teams last played on Thursday. Can Brawley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
