It was a good run, but Mission unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. The game between them and the Palmview Lobos didn't end well, with the Mission Eagles falling 43-29. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1031st, while the Lobos are ranked 326th).

Mission's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-12. As for Palmview, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-7.

Mission will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rio Grande City at 1:00 p.m. on December 31st. Palmview will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Roma at 1:00 p.m. on December 31st. The timing is sure in Palmview's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Roma has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
