The Great Hearts Irving Mustangs pushed their score all the way to 73 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Founders Classical Academy by a score of 75-73. Great Hearts Irving has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyle Crissey, who scored 32 points. The match was Crissey's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tavion Pryor, who scored 15 points along with 8 assists.
Great Hearts Irving bumped their record down to 4-2 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 47.33 points. As for Founders Classical Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Great Hearts Irving will head out on the road to face off against Uplift Infinity Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Founders Classical Academy, they will be playing at home against Inspired Vision at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Inspired Vision is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
