Landon McDonald gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in March on Saturday. He was dynamite, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, McDonald and Grace Christian will face off against John Paul II Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Saints thanks in part to McDonald: he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over 5.2 innings pitched.
