Football Recap: Big Bear Skates Past Cabrillo with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Big Bear). They claimed a resounding 43-0 win over the Cabrillo Jaguars. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Big Bear, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Savion Sorapuru, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Big Bear's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 55.8 points this season. As for Cabrillo, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Big Bear will square off against Desert Hot Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bears are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Cabrillo, they will face off against Millikan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Jaguars will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
