It's playoff time, and Skyline had no trouble coming through when it counted. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Redmond Mustangs on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Spartans sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Nazli Chavez was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-4. What's more, she posted two runs, the most she's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Devyn Wilson, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Skyline's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Redmond, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-5-1.
As of now, neither Skyline nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
