After flying high against the Harrison Goblins on Thursday, the Broken Arrow Tigers came back down to earth. Broken Arrow took a 55-44 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rock Bridge on Friday.
When it comes to explaining why Broken Arrow lost, one person who can't be blamed is McKenzie Mathurin. Despite the final result, she went 6 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 31 points and 0 assists. Mathurin scored a full 70.5% of Broken Arrow's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Taryn Jacobs was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Broken Arrow's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rock Bridge, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Broken Arrow won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Republic at 4:00 p.m. on December 2nd. As for Rock Bridge, they will head out on the road to face off against Park Hill South at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
