With a playoff game on the line, the Stanton Blue Devils rose to the challenge on Friday. They skirted past the Crusaders 2-1. Winning may never get old, but Stanton sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Ava Touchton and
Kimberly Norton, who scored both of Stanton's goals. The pair have combined for a total of ten so far this season.
Stanton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5-3 record this season. As for Bishop Kenny, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6-1.
Stanton will head out on the road to challenge South Walton at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Walton is coming into the matchup with five straight victories at home, so Stanton is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum. Bishop Kenny does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
