The Green Level Gators put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 61-51 victory over Garner. Given Green Level's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Garner is ranked 78th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Green Level to victory, but perhaps none more so than Israel Eatman, who scored 19 points along with six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eatman has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tye Cain, who scored 13 points along with five assists and two steals.
Green Level's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-0. As for Garner, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.
Green Level will head out on the road to face off against Middle Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Middle Creek focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight last Friday. As for Garner, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Southeast Raleigh at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southeast Raleigh knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 11 matches -- so hopefully Garner likes a good challenge.
