It was a good run, but The Webb Spartans unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Boyd-Buchanan 14-10. The low total for Webb limited their streak of high-flying scores to seven in a row.
Webb's loss dropped their record down to 8-1. As for Boyd-Buchanan, their victory was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Webb will square off against Lakeway Christian Academy on Friday. Lakeway Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Webb is ranked 25th). As for Boyd-Buchanan, they will head out on the road to face off against Grace Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
