The Graham Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Cummings, falling 95-53. Graham lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Micah Woods, who scored 30 points. That was a full 56.6% of Graham's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jaylan Sinclair was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Leading Cummings to victory were Ja'Kway Robertson and Ja'Kari Dobbins. Robertson dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds, while Dobbins scored 21 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Dobbins is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Long, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Graham's loss was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Cummings, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Chatham Central the next time they take the court. Graham will host Chatham Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Cummings will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
