Jack Kriebel was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 25 points and 17 boards. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Caeden Harmon was another key player, putting up 19 points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Dayspring Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against New Covenant Christian on Monday, but they still walked away with a 57-53 win. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Flames: they've now won four in a row.
Lititz Christian better keep an eye on Noah Huxta. He was instrumental in Dayspring Christian Academy's win, dropping a double-double with 27 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, Huxta is now averaging an impressive 15.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Mellinger, who went 6-for-13 to rack up 14 points and seven rebounds.
Dayspring Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
The win got Dayspring Christian Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Lititz Christian, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lititz Christian has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 30 boards per game. However, it's not like Dayspring Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Lititz Christian might still be hurting after the 70-49 loss they got from Dayspring Christian Academy in their previous meeting on Thursday. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Huxta, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Now that the Eagles know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
