Roane County has won five straight games at home, while Gilmer County has won five straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Raiders will welcome the Titans at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
If Roane County beats Gilmer County with six runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Raiders came out on top against Poca by a score of 6-2 on Thursday.

Colton Ash tossed a big game, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last five games.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Landen Williams, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Roane County is undefeated when Williams posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Byron Taylor, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Meanwhile, Gilmer County made easy work of Ritchie County on Wednesday and carried off a 15-5 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Lexington Grogg made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Grogg was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Gilmer County let Tyler Ratliff and Jacob Stewart run wild. Ratliff went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Stewart went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was Ratliff's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Roddick Page, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Gilmer County hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in five consecutive matchups.
Gilmer County's victory bumped their record up to 13-1. As for Roane County, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Roane County has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Gilmer County struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Roane County came up short against Gilmer County in their previous matchup last Monday, falling 4-1. Will the Raiders have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
