Eno River Academy has gone a perfect 5-0 against Excelsior Classical Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Bobcats will look to defend their home pitch against the Flying Lions at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eno River Academy has five straight wins, Excelsior Classical Academy has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Eno River Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Clover Garden School as they made off with an 8-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Eno River Academy, who have now won nine games by five goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Clover Garden School from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Viv Matthews led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Excelsior Classical Academy's offense. They came up short against Voyager Academy on Thursday, falling 9-0. While losing is never fun, Excelsior Classical Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 399th, while Voyager Academy are ranked 127th).

Eno River Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those three matches. As for Excelsior Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Everything went Eno River Academy's way against Excelsior Classical Academy in their previous matchup back in March, as Eno River Academy made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Bobcats repeat their success, or do the Flying Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
