The Bradshaw Mountain Bears entered their tilt with the Mingus Marauders with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Bradshaw Mountain claimed a resounding 64-30 win over Mingus at home. Given Bradshaw Mountain's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Mingus is ranked 216th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Mason Hunt, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Ranniker, who scored 13 points.
Bradshaw Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. As for Mingus, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bradshaw Mountain the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Prescott at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for Mingus, Mingus and Mohave will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Mohave is hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
