The Utopia Buffaloes won the last time they faced the Comstock Panthers, and things went their way on Friday too. Utopia came out on top against Comstock by a score of 48-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Utopia.
Taylor Wiekamp continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Utopia's points. Another player making a difference was Dustin Rhodes, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Utopia's win bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Comstock, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season.
Utopia won't have much time to rest: their next match is against D'Hanis at 10:30 a.m. on December 16th. D'Hanis has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Comstock will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Brackett at 3:00 p.m. on December 15th.
