Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Friday (56), Seffner Christian still had to take the loss.
Altamonte Christian was led to victory by Ryan Almeda and Vincent Lee. Almeda went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 1 assists, while Lee dropped a triple-double on 13 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Almeda has scored at least 25% of Altamonte Christian's points. Samuel Santana was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with four steals.
Seffner Christian has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Altamonte Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-6.
Seffner Christian and Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak. As for Altamonte Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Ocala Christian at 7:00 p.m. Ocala Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 749th, while Altamonte Christian is ranked 283rd).
