Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 22 to 12 on the offensive boards, a fact the Mullins Auctioneers proved on Friday. They secured a 57-51 W over Lee Central. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mullins.
JJ Davis was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Dakarai Worley, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Lee Central still got an impressive performance from Chuck Harry, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harry has scored all season. Jaquarius Davis was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two blocks.
Mullins is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Lee Central, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-11.
Mullins will take on Andrews at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lee Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Marion at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
