The Centennial Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their ninth straight loss. They fell 62-49 to Ravenwood. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Centennial of the 56-27 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Centennial lost, one person who can't be blamed is Addison Gorday. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points along with two steals. Bethany Wright was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds.
Centennial dropped their record down to 3-15 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Ravenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 6-10.
Centennial will head out on the road to challenge Page at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Page is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games. As for Ravenwood, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Franklin at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Tennessee (Franklin is ranked 209th, while Ravenwood is ranked 228th).
