The Prairie Valley Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a serious blow against Forestburg, falling 50-22. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Prairie Valley has suffered since December 2, 2023.
Forestburg's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brenna Briles, who dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 steals. Briles hasn't dropped below two steals for 15 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lili Cisneros, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Prairie Valley has been struggling recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Forestburg, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-6.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bellevue the next time they take the court. Forestburg will head out to face Bellevue at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Prairie Valley will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
